and can give context to editorial, fashion and
environmental portrait work, however, sometimes
the background can be a bit busy and distracting
causing the need for some type of
faux background.

Portable Backgrounds

they are versatile, convenient due to collapsibility
and inexpensive. You can use them in the studio
or take them with you on location. A 6-foot
portable background can fold up into a circle as
small as 24 inches.

Muslin Backgrounds
خلفيات القماش – الموسلين –
خلفيات القماش – الموسلين – تعد من الاختيارات
الكلاسيكية الناجحة ، ممتازة للتصوير حيث أنها لا تعكس
الضوء ، ويمكن طيها كما تريد ، وتعليقها على حامل
كما أنها قليلة التكلفة .
Muslin can be an excellent choice to shoot with
since it’s not reflective at all, folds as small as you
need and can be hung from a portable
background support and costs a fraction of some
of the other choices. This all-cotton option is
a classic choice for these reasons.

اختيار ممتاز حيث يمكن استخدامها اكثر من مرة . لكنها
تعد الأغلى ثمناً وصعوبة إعدادها ونصبها لثقلها .
Canvas backdrops come in a variety of sizes,
colors and designs. They are a good choice
because they can be reused over and over
again but they can also be a bit heavy to set up.
Canvas backdrops, however, can be one of the
most expensive choices of all of the choices
I’ve listed but can be one of the most
creative as well.

Floor Drops
خلفية الأرض
خلفيات الأرض عادةً تستخدم مع الخلفيات الجدارية لخلق
مشهد تصويري متكامل . في الأغلب تأتي بتصاميم
مثل الأرضيات الخشبية ، جدار طوب أو صفائح معدن .
Often used together with backdrops to recreate
a scene. They typically come in designs such as
wood floors, brick walls, metal panels or
tile as shown above.

Vinyl Backgrounds
خلفيات الفينيل
خلفيات الفينيل – مثل بنرات الطباعة – تعد من الخيارات
المفضلة للمصورين ، حيث تتميز بأنها مستوية السطح
ولا تتجعد بسهولة مثل الخلفيات الأخرى كالورق
والقماش . إضافة إلى أنه يمكن تنظيفها بسهولة .
وسهلة التخزين على شكل رولة .
Another classic and preferred choice for
photographers is vinyl. It gets a great reputation
because it hangs flat whereas muslin tends to
wrinkle easily and seamless tends to crinkle and
get dirty more easily. Vinyl is easy to clean and
takes up very little space to store as it can be
stored straight up and down in a corner.

PVC Backgrounds
خلفيات البي في سي
البعض يخلط بين خلفيات البي في سي و خلفيات
الفينيل ، بسبب التركيبة الكيميائية حيث يتركبون من
الفينيل . خلفيات البي في سي – أشبه بالبلاستيك –
مثل تركيب أنابيب المياه . تعد هذه الخلفيات اختيار جيد
لتصوير المنتجات ، ومميزاتها مثل الفينيل حيث يمكن
تنظيفها بسهولة وسطحها أملس لا تتجعد بسهولة .
Some people confuse between vinyl and PVC ,
because both are vinyl . PVC little diffrent in
chemical composition . Its little harder than vinyl ,
usually used for water pipes . Its more like plastic .

Non-Woven Backgrounds
خلفيات القماش الغير منسوج
خلفيات النون ووفن مصنوع من مادة تشبه النسيج ،
مضغوطة كيميائياً وحرارياً لتشبه النسيج ( القماش ).
تعد خيار مناسب و موفر للمصورين ، بسبب سعرها
المنخفض ، ووزنها الخفيف .
Nonwoven fabric is a fabric-like material made
from staple fiber (short) and long fibers
(continuous long), bonded together by chemical,
mechanical, heat or solvent treatment.

Think outside the box & make your own
backgrounds as interesting as possible. Some
other great creative choices for backgrounds
include materials such as wallpaper, sequin fabric
and designer art paper , you can also use wood
raping paper and metal .

About Colors
لون الخلفية
من المهم جداً اختيار لون الخلفية بعناية بحيث لا تطغى
على الموضوع . الألوان الجريئة قد تنفع مع الشباب
وفنانو الروك ستار ، لكن لا يمكنك استعمالها مع كبار
السن . كذلك الألوان يجب أن تكون مكملة لموضوعك ،
ولا تتداخل مع لون الملابس فتؤثر سلبياً .
يمكن للالوان أيضاً أن تبيان الإحساس أو الشعور في
الموضوع . ( أسود = غموض ، أبيض = صفاء ) .
It’s important that your background does not
overwhelm your subject so be careful with the
colors that you choose. Crazy bold colors with
patterns might work well for rockstar photo
shoots, but you probably wouldn’t shoot your
grandmother in front of one of those
background colors/designs.
Colors should also be complementary to your
subject’s features and their wardrobe so that you
don’t lose your subject in a “same color” scheme.
Colors can also help effectuate a feeling or
emotion for the subject in the image.
